Simic Elves
There was once a third tribe of elves on Ravnica, one that became largely extinct during the pre-Guildpact wars; the survivors joined the Simic Combine. Little is known about them, but both the Devkarin and the Silhana believe they were very cruel and unpleasant. Simic elves seem to have been mostly bald. As time went by, almost all of the Simic elves subjected themselves to strange biological experiments, adding biomechanical implants or splicing their genes with those of other creatures, such as snakes.
Welcome to my take on competitive simic deck which is not infect! For along time I have wanted to play simic in modern, but failed to make a deck that was good enough to beat modern decks. This deck uses inspiration from Combo elves decks, but with some of my own simic tweaks. Elves decks have been known to fill the battlefield with creatures lighting fast, which is exactly what we want. It can generate loads of mana/card draw and have multiple win conditions. I am amazed how many turn 3-5 wins this deck can manage, but it can also stumble sometimes. I have included Biovisionary as a spicy simic win condition for the deck. I did not want to go all in on clone effects for the Biovisionary, instead I went with Mirrorweave which works really well with the amount of creatures we can get out and our elf lords. Take a closer look and tell me what you think.
I am still working on it, so feedback are appreciated!
Fill the battlefield with creatures, preferably more than 5 creatures including Biovisionary + Mirrorweave
on it.
Win with a beat down
Imperious Perfect and Elvish Archdruid. Flood the board with creatures which this deck can do extremely fast, use Imperious Perfect + Mirrorweave
or Elvish Archdruid + Mirrorweave
, then all of your creatures becomes big lords and you can swing for lethal. Opponents creatures also becomes lords, but you will in most cases have more creatures than the opponent.
Win with infinite mana and Elf tokens
Win with infinite life gain
When Essence Warden is on the battlefield and you get infinite Elf tokens, then you get infinite life. This is in the sideboard for match ups where you might need the life gain.
Win with ridiculous card draw advantage
Beck // Call allows you to draw as much as you like when you go infinite creatures. Then you just draw until you find the win condition, for example Biovisionary + Mirrorweave
