This deck may change your mind about defenders.

Basic Win Condition: Axebane Guardian + Crab Umbra for infinite mana, just have whatever X damage or mill card you want in your hand.

This deck can play multiplayer, as it can kill with Llanowar Augur + Strength of the Tajuru with any other non-defender creatures. ((the sideboard is useful in multiplayer.))

Note: Steel Wall may be replaced by any other one drop defender in this deck.

How to 4 turn win.

1. Land + Any 1 Drop Defender

2. Forest + Overgrown Battlement

3. Island, tap Overgrown Battlement and forest to play Axebane Guardian, tap Island to put Crab Umbra on Axebane Guardian, and tap land from turn one to play Any 1 drop defender again.

4. Land or No land, doesn't matter. Play one more defender without tapping your Axebane Guardian then tap and untap the Axebane Guardian infinitely, gaining at least one mana of any color per tap and untap, play anything from your hand if you'd like, and win using Increasing Confusion; the flashback should take care of a second opponent if need be.

Safety Features

Incase, you know, of Duress + Surgical Extraction or something crazy like that being used on card:Snail Umbra, don't worry, I included the (less than) lovely Galvanic Alchemist

If it was a Despise or Distress, and it gets your Axebane Guardian, don't scoop just yet. This deck still has a very huge mana ramp capability with Overgrown Battlement, and you should still be able to win without thinking too hard.

I was thinking about adding card draw, but I don't think that will be very easy to fit in and keep the speed.
