Simic elf deck built for beginners learning to play Commander. It's meant to be reasonably budget but with the added bonus of extra turns - because even new players should learn how disgusting taking extra turns is.

The deck has some infinite combos in it but no real way of accessing them outside of the card draw in the deck. I feel that combos are an important aspect of EDH that new players should learn about.

The deck idea originally came around trying to build a competitive but budget deck that was easy to use. Elves seemed the most logical fit. It doesn't feel like it's aged that well (the deck was originally constructed about 5 years ago). NOTE: This WAS budget before the price spike of certain cards like [Eladramri, Lord of Leaves]...

There are definitely some instant improvements. I've seen the competitive version of Edric with 1 mana evasion creatures galore and Nexus of Fate. I try to limit what I use in decks based on my collection, avoiding proxies where possible. I have nothing against proxies, I just enjoy this deck building constraint / challenge.

I think this is the weaker of my elf decks: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/momir-vigs-darksteel-reactor-2020-09-06/

And historically, I have had https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/selvalas-ass/ - but this has since been dismantled. It's really not fun to play against and painfully inconsistent.
