I've tried a lot of different simic builds but never was able to make it fast enough for my tastes. This heroic version really lets me mess with my opponents via Bioshift.Whether it's protecting my creatures or trying to re-route power amongst my creatures Bioshift will also trigger any heroic abilities at the same time!

One awesome combo I've made is to have Phalanx Leader , Sapphire Drake , Cloudfin Raptor, and Progenitor Mimic on the battlefield. The Progenitor Mimic will keep pumping out Sapphire Drake 's to evolve your Cloudfin Raptor. Then you can easily Bioshift +1 counters to Phalanx Leader (or just use any spell) to buff up all your creatures. Not to mention all creatures you control with +1 counters on them have flying via Sapphire Drake !
