Tried going Mono green Hydra at FNM and Gameday, kept getting my ass handed to me. Going to try and splash in blue for some control. Plus it is fun playing Simic because almost no one is running it at FNM. Please provide any suggestion for this noob. Just started playing magic after quitting 10 years ago (invasion block I believe).

Was able to get 5th place (out of 30) at my first FNM. The first game I lost to Azorious control.

Was able to get 12th place (out of 28) at my second FNM. Lost twice. Once to Gruul and once to JUNK. Both loses I had to mulligan down to 5 cards or got mana flooded.
