R1: Went 2-0 against Mardu Control.
Game 1
Thoughtseize and Brain Maggot ate an Elvish Mystic and Courser of Kruphix. Still had cards to Sylvan Caryatid into Kiora, the Crashing Wave (drew her that turn). Got lucky because he couldn't get the red mana for his Butcher of the Horde before I got Kiora to go off.
Game 2
Switched to control by boarding in Disdainful Stroke, Dissolve, and Polymorphist's Jest. Was able to ice a Goblin Rabblemaster with a T2 Courser of Kruphix. Dissolve countered Butcher, and a Prognostic Sphinx sealed card advantage / control.
R2: Lost 0-2 to... an event deck...
I don't want to talk about it... it was BW warriors from Khans... too fast. Couldn't stabilize. Didn't really have any sideboard...
R3: Won 2-0 against Abzan Midrange
Game 1
Thassa, God of the Sea broke the stalemate of big butts wide open.
Game 2
Loooooooong game. Same stalemate, but exiled Thassa both times. Finally baited him into attacking for lethal after I attacked without leaving enough blockers. Polymorphist's Jest saved me, and BOOM.
R4: Lost 1-2 to Boros Token spewer aggro
Game 1
Same story as R1... just wasn't fast enough. Hordeling Outburst into double convoked Triplicate Spirits. Couldn't mount a defense fast enough.
Game 2
Managed to get out a caryatid, courser, and Polukranos fast enough. Managed to counter a Triplicate Spirits. Went on to "out card-quality" him.
Game 3
Even more token spewing than game 1. Double Outburst into Double Triplicate... Stoke the Flames ate my courser, and Trumpet blast let 11 tokens pass my one Polukranos for the win.
Deck changes:
Boon Satyr out, Hypnotic Siren in. In Game 1, lets me play something other than Mystic on T1 to tempo block for Kiora, or a late removal/card-advantage against later decks. Helps turn on Thassa. Probably will side out often in Game 2 for counters/removal.
Whelming Wave in sideboard vs. Tokens/aggro. The tempo will give me a chance to stabilize?
