Land (3)

Don't you just love the way Kruphix has 4 hands so he can drop the bass all that much harder?

Exploring ideas of Simic in standard as of Journey Into Nyx. In a way the deck can be interpetted as a Mono-U or Mono-Blue list splashing green but it's still not finished and any help or ideas are appreciated. If you would like to help, please leave a reason as to why you think certain changes should be made so that I can understand the deck better. Otherwise I hope you enjoy what's going on. The deck itself (at the moment) basically revolves around getting a ton of threats out such as Master Biomancer into Master of Waves or Prime Speaker Zegana and then crushing the opponent under huge board advantage and forcing them to spend all their removal on things they would rather not.

Break Down:

Bident of Thassa - Draws cards. Always useful.

Bow of Nylea - Does what ever it needs to. It has multiple uses and the deathtouch is nice when Nylea is out giving everything trample as well (deathtouch makes 1 damage lethal to any creature so the almost the entire creatures power goes over to the player as trample damage)

Cyclonic Rift - In case things get out of hand or just use it overloaded for a blowout attack for (Dr. Evil voice)... 1 million damage!!! Insert Evil Laugh Here

Fated Infatuation - Make copies of any of the creatures with "enter the battlefield" effects ie. Master Biomancer, Master of Waves or Prime Speaker Zegana. A fun interaction to play with is using it to create a copy of Prime Speaker Zegana while it's your turn and put the abilities on the stack in a way that you scry 2 and then the token enters the battlefield so that you choose part of what you draw into.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave - It just does its thing, creates a bubble aorund something you don't want killing you, ramps and draws cards or if you manage to -5 her it should be hard to lose from there.

Kiora's Follower - Untaps lands to let you play cards faster or untaps creatures for some combat trick type shenanigans.

Kruphix, God of Horizons - AKA "Kruphix, God of Excess", he just makes it nice by making you never lose cards or mana. I don't know how good he really is but I want to keep him because he's kinda a god

Master Biomancer - Instantly makes any creature after him stronger. Need I say more?

Master of Waves - Creates a bunch of tokens that attack for a lot when combo-ed with almost anything else in the deck. Long story short it's a win condition. In this deck I read his text as "Play this card to win! :D"

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx - Get more mana, play more cards, win more games. The end.

Nylea, God of the Hunt - Gives everything (else) trample which is nice. Also can be used to attack/block into big creatures or pump your creatures by +2/+2 if your in a pinch

Prime Speaker Zegana - When it enters the battlefield it draws a lot of cards. It also happens to generally turn into a giant that's bigger than any of your other creatures but believe it or not, that's not the reason she's in the deck

Prophet of Kruphix - Does what it says, untaps all your lands effectively doubling your mana and lets you pull all sorts of weird combat tricks by flashing in creatures. It is unfortunate that it cost 5 mana to play bu I'll take what I'm given.

Thassa's Rebuff - Fail-safe in case they decide to play something that would ruin all your wonderful plans of winning. Hopefully by the time this becomes relevant you have plenty of devotion between Bident of Thassa, Prime Speaker Zegana and various other cards. Could easily be swapped for something else like Syncopate (which works nicely with Kruphix, God of Horizons), or another counter of your choosing. I debated Plasm Capture but decided against it because of the strict casting cost and the fact that the deck doesn't NEED more mana (although it CAN be nice....)

Thassa, God of the Sea - I wish I had room to play more of these. It scrys so you can choose what your drawing, if you activate her, she's a nice 5/5 indestructible creature. Also, she makes stuff unblockable, which is nice.

Zameck Guildmage - Use it to put counters on cards to make them stronger. Then take all the counters off the card and draw more cards to make stronger and then draw cards off of etc. etc. Rinse and repeat.

Changed description because it was kindly pointed out to me that Cyclonic Rift cannot target my own Master of Wavesfoil and swapped a single Prophet of Kruphix for a Judge's Familiar because it seemed like a good idea (3 is too many Prophet's and countering with the Familiar is nice). Also, Judge's Familiar has cool promo art.
