One fateful Saturday morning, 5 high school students were forced to serve a detention supervised by the principal, the malicious Mr. Progenitus. Seriously, who makes kids come to school on a Saturday? It takes a certain kind of evil... Ahem. Anyway, at first the kids butted heads, especially Nylea, God of the Hunt and Heliod, God of the Sun with Purphoros, God of the Forge. Despite this, they all manage to unwind and connect with each other (a bag of weed may or may not have been involved) and admit what they did to earn a detention: Nylea, God of the Hunt bullied a kid under pressure from her dad, Thassa, God of the Sea accidentally set off a flare gun in her locker, Heliod, God of the Sun skipped class, Purphoros, God of the Forge probably had this detention scheduled a month ago, and Erebos, God of the Dead didn't have anything better to do. In the end, they penned a collective essay to the principal, not caring that they weren't following the rules.

Dear Mr. Progenitus,

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did was wrong. But we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. You see us as a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a prince, and a criminal. Correct? That's the way we saw each other a seven o'clock in the morning. We were brainwashed. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain... and an athlete... and a basket case... and a prince... and a criminal. Does that answer your question?

Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.

I couldn't resist.

Voltron Devotion! With the Gods of Theros and their Lorwyn split cards helping them out. Most of the colored cards are split cards to provide dual devotion for whatever God may be on board. Tutors are available if you wish to get alternate creatures. The Lieges and Spirit Avatars are your best friends, and often the source of most of your offense, especially when paired up with Swords.
