I was inspired by the story of Garth One-Eye’s card design and flavor. I started playing Magic in 2009 and missed all the old school Magic, but I’ve always admired the look and lore of the early cards. This deck is my attempt to experience those times with some old and new cards but all old frame.

Garth was my first choice as commander, but after play testing with Sisay, Weatherlight Captain I couldn’t go back. Tutoring up all the legendary creatures, artifacts and plansewalkers felt more suitable for the flavor of visiting Magic’s past.
