Maybeboard

The main concept is a toolbox deck. You get Sisay, Weatherlight Captain to 3+ power, leave 5 and eventually 10 or more mana open, and bring in answers at instant speed. For example: someone targets a removal at Sisay, so she brings in Jirina, Dauntless General to stop it. Next round they try again, so you bring in Saffi Eriksdotter to stop it again. They then get frustrated and try to board wipe, so you bring in Linvala, Shield of Sea Gate and everyone but you gets board-wiped. Someone tries to Cyclonic Rift on a player's endstep, just bring in Obeka, Brute Chronologist if you have something to give her haste. Someone plays Living Death, bring in Tamiyo, Collector of Tales. There's pretty much an answer for everything. If nothing needs to be answered, bring in something good (like a haste enabler) during the previous player's endstep.

It's not fast, but builds major engines and eventually reaches an unstoppable critical mass. There's not one distinct win-con, but there are lots of super powerful interactions between cards that will generally win you the game. At the bottom is a mostly complete list of win-cons.

So far this has the highest win-rate of my casual decks, as the board state doesn't look very scary. Then it pops off and creates an unstoppable board-state that can 1v3. Or, it defends itself really well and flies under the radar, ends up 1v1 from other decks killing each other, and surprise shuts down the deck that thought they were winning.

  1. Under 100$

  2. No Combos

  3. No Stacks (I don't count very minor stacks like Grima Wormtongue)

  4. No Mill

  5. No Infect

  6. No Venser, Shaper Savant, or Ertai Resurrected, and no counterspells. I want to be able to answer anything, but not in a boring way.

  7. No granting Unblockable, Trample, or Flying to all my creatures.

  8. No planeswalkers with ultimates, as they could all ultimate the turn they enter if I also add Carth the Lion and Oath of Teferi.

  9. No hard core control like Urza's Ruinous Blast on repeat.

  10. No Dynaheir, Invoker Adept, Cadric, Soul Kindler, or Ratadrabik of Urborg. They were just too good.

  11. No global, permanent Hexproof or Indestructible such as Sigarda, Font of Blessings, Shalai, Voice of Plenty, or Avacyn's Memorial. It made the deck too "kill 'em now or you'll never be able to."

  12. No ramp at all (this one was a hard pill to swallow, but the deck was just too explosive with it)

Jegantha, the Wellspring plus any uptaps like Ral Zarek and Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner greatly increase the power of the deck. Even just Relic of Legends with Brago, King Eternal was stupid explosive mana. Counters like Unwind and Rewind are great too. But I wanted people to really enjoy playing against it, and not focus me.

Win-Cons

None are definitively stronger than another (by design), so feel free to randomly pick. Though usually it takes combining two or even three of these to 1v3.

Kardur, Doomscourge + either Gilraen, Dunedain Protector or Brago, King Eternal. You can even use Pramikon, Sky Rampart to force certain attacks.

Heroes' Podium + Jodah, the Unifier with a bunch of creatures out.

Tamiyo, Collector of Tales to self mill and eventually get back to hand either Primevals' Glorious Rebirth or Command the Dreadhorde (the later must be combined with The Wanderer). Your big reanimate spell can be protected by Taigam, Ojutai Master.

Technically this one needs outside assistance. If someone uses a "destroy all creatures", bring in Gisa, Glorious Resurrector and one of the cards that makes her indestructible like Hajar, Loyal Bodyguard. You may want a haste enabler so you can attack right away with everyone's creatures, but the real kicker is Obeka, Brute Chronologist as she can tap at the end of your combat step to stop the Decayed trigger.

Grima, Saruman's Footman + Rafiq of the Many. Doesn't guarantee any winning, but who knows what you'll find. Taigam, Ojutai Master can be very helpful here.
