The important part about building a Skullbriar deck is the lack of perfect builds and on the spot combo wins.

SB is a big dumb creature that’ll continue to carry around its counters as long as you elect it to not enter your library/hand.

Part of the deck is protection and another recursion. Additionally SB lacks inherent evasion. So adding trample/deathtouch becomes a huge deal.

The recent inclusion of ability counters and mutate change everything!
