Maybeboard

Planeswalker (1)

Artifact (1)

So I finally decided to post my own decklist.

If you have any improvements, questions, or critics - go ahead and use the comments to let me know.

Small-Bots uses the usual Affinity-Core, which means a lot of lowcost Aggro Creatures. Here are some of my thoughts about the deck:

How to win:Main goal of this deck ist to bring in the team for full damage every round due to most creatures evasive abilities (Signal Pest, Vault Skirge, Ornithopter and of course Etched Champion are most likely to get through unblocked). Usually 5 turns should be enough with the help of Cranial Plating. After turn 5 this deck's power decreases extremely. Since the creatures are to small to beat mid or high-cost creatures and the board usually got nothing on your side but a few lands. So no way to win a long attrition war.

How to accelerate:To pump up creatures constantly we got our helping hand - Stoneforge Mystic. I chose her over steelshapers gift since i like the 1/2 body which i gladly pay 2 mana for. With her ability to search your deck for an equipment card we are almost sure to get at least 1 or 2 equipments in our hand within the first few turns. And if we have to pick specific equipment to counter opponents strategies she can pick the single Jitte or Batterskull as well. In addition I play 2 copies of the white tutor for 2 reasons, 1: together with 3 stoneforge and 4 platings its almost impossible for us to get no Equipment early on 2: If we run short on lands or creatures we can also pick whats needed, so it can help to fix bad draws.

The Support:Of course our opponent doesn't do nothing on the first turns, so we pick up 3 x Dispatch and 3 x Galvanic Blast just in case to get rid of annoying creatures, like first turn Grim Lavamancer or early Kataki. A starting hand with Dispatch helped even against some Reanimator decks, since not everyone is expecting mainboard removal in affinity. But its not just about getting rid of creatures, i split 3 galvanic/3 dispatch/3 boros charm for the reason of direct damage possabilities. Dispatch is nice but sometimes you just want to squeeze the last points of life, so galvanic comes in handy. And with Charm's Double Strike we can hit them by full power, which usually deals more than just 4 damage (which i can get directly out of the charm) to my opponent (while Boros Charm is the best insurance against "destroy all artifacts"-spells)

Manabase:Since i got no mox opal this is the best i could afford, i have cut the manabase quite hard, so some people might think he rather plays 1-2 manasources more, but I am actually fine with it. I just need 3 lands to play every spell in the deck (since we cheat batterskull in with stoneforge). Like i said, it acutally worked out for me, even if we meet early mana disruption we still can get in with 1 mana/zero cost creatures

Sideboard:Yeah, sideboarding gives me a hard job to be honest. I rather play casual and so not used to correct boarding for consecutive matches. Still i made up my mind for some cards:

2 x Pithin Needle i just think there are Situations where this might come in Handy to either shut down a planeswalker (galvanic blast helps here too) or things like engineered explosives and such

2 x Seal of Cleansing Why the f... is he using this over the usual disenchant? Well if you have a close look almost everything in my sideboard is an enchantment or artifact and due to this they are tutorable. I hate to have the answers in the deck but never in my hand, so even if i play only 2 seals i still got 2 tutors to get it on top of my library.

1 x Disenchant Maybe some people might try to shut my seals of with a needle, just in case, so i dont have to forfeit a game as soon as a needle stops me from destroying their Enchantment/Artifact type of affinity hate.

2 x Rest in Peace + 1 x Tormods Crypt Just graveyard hate to get rid of reanimator or dredge etc. (btw: it can be helpful to send an ornithopter or memnite to your graveyard with a galvanic blast to get rid of their bridges from below, but well, thats something you already knew, right?)

2 x Ethersworn Canonist Just perfect against Storm

2 x Blind Obedience Now this is some weird looking choice for most of you, isnt it? The thing is,torpor orb might be more usefull since it additionally adds to the artifact count, but in my opinion thats the problem here. I dont want a card that can be trageted by artifact hate, all these red splashing decks just to get their hands on ancient grudges and such things. I know its another format but thing about putting this in play against most Splintertwin-decks, if he doesn't counter it his only card to get rid of it is an cryptic command or another bouncing spell he might have...i just think this might caught some people offguard. And against sneak and show you only have to be afraid of Show and tell since Sneak Attack brings them in for only 1 turn and in that 1 turn they are tapped.

2 x Whipflare Kills our Stoneforges in worst care but can get us some time against Elves/Goblins, together with the single disenchant the only cards i can't tutor.

1 x Oblivion Ring Just the multitool for everything, they play Show and Tell, i put O-Ring into play and send whatever they try to cheat into the game into oblivion; they needle my seals, i send their needle to oblivion, i dont like the flavor text of card XYZ, i send it into oblivion...i guess you got the idea.

Updates Add

I made up my mind and brought in some changes, i just felt a little bit bored looking at the same cards all the time :-P

Mox Opal: Even though i havent acquired a full set yet, i implement them here so everyone playtesting can see the full potential

Boros Charm: Yet another "wtf are you doing?!"-card, but more and more people i play against came up with artifact-hate-heavy-sideboards lately. The amazing thing about this is its versatility. 1) it can be the almighty rescue card against artifact wipes 2) since they got the spot of "fling" i still have the possability to give a creature double strike which can also end the game a turn faster than usual 3) dealing 4 damage to an opponent, well could be worse, i rather like to burn opponents creatures but nevertheless its nice to have.
