This deck is one of my favourite kitchen table turned EDH decks!

In our former state of residence, our LGS there had one AWESOME thing I've not seen at any other stores, several big bulk rare boxes open to all customers to rifle through at their own will. Unless otherwise specified, each rare was $1. Could we have gotten most of those rares cheaper online? Maybe. But there's nothing like sifting through tons of random rares in your own hands and finding cool stuff.

So yea, early on when we got back into Magic, I bought a bunch of big demons from that rare box and wanted to make a deck centered around them, but not anything cliche like Angels and Demons. Funny enough, my favourite EDH deck is my Kaalia deck, but digressing, I eventually settled on reptiles, demons, and deathtouch. Used a bunch of (mostly draft chaft) cards from Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation in the first iteration of this deck. There were some better ones like Vizier of the Menagerie and Hepatra, Vizier of Poisons, most of the ramp also came from naga creature type in that set although there were some elves as well (which to some degree are still in this deck). After we got into EDH, this was one of the first kitchen table decks I expanded.

I have tried to put as many spells as possible in here that have a snake, reptile, or demonic theme to them, even if there are cards out there that are much better. For this reason, seeing as it's such a casual deck that cares more about theme, Griselbrand , in spite of being a banned card in EDH, is fine in this deck. There's not much easy reanimation going on here and is one of few sources of card draw.

Any upgrades in the future will largely be with the mana base as I acquire those cards. Card suggestions are also welcome so long as they are on theme!
