Soldier Up! - Leading by Example

A classic White Weenie for casual singleplayer (1v1) only.

My goal is to get out my Field Marshals and Veterean Swordsmiths as well as Honor of the Pure as soon as possible to boost the soldiers and overrun the opponent.

Preeminent Captain also works as an accellerator to get my soldiers on the board, especially the Captain of the Watch.

With Elite Vanguard, Veteran Swordsmith, Precinct Captain and Raise the Alarm I can put some pressure on the opponent, while Thalia, Guardian of Thraben can slow the opponent's deck down.

With Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Militia's Pride I get additional tokens on the board.

Revoke Existence and Swords to Plowshares act as spot removal.

And of course Brave the Elements can deliver the final blow or save my creatures from spot removal.

4x Elite Vanguard is as a onedrop (hopefully) in my starting hand to put some early pressure on the opponent.

4x Precinct Captain should follow turn 2. 2/2 First strike and generating 1/1 soldier tokens to increase pressure.

Alternatively, early Thalia, Guardian of Thraben can help disrupt my opponent in turn 2 as well. Since I do not focus on noncreature spells, the effect won't hurt me too much.

4x Preeminent Captain helps my accellerate my soldier output, especially to get Captain of the Watch out.

2x Captain of the Watch, 4x Field Marshal, 4x Veteran Swordsmith as well as 4x Honor of the Pure will help me boost my brave soldiers.

2x Brimaz, King of Oreskos should bring some further soldier tokens on the field.

2x Swords to Plowshares and 2x Revoke Existence will help me get rid of unpleasant creatures, artifact or enchantments.

4x Brave the Elements can either help protect my important soldiers, or it will be my setup for the killing blow.

The deck is inactive at the moment and I haven't included cards newer than 2015.

The variant "Leading by examlple" focuses on seasoned soldiers that can buff the others. The variant "Raise the Alarm!" focuses on token generation.

Amount of Players

Our group consists of usually 6 to 8 players.

Format

We do not play a specific format, therefore all cards (except Unhinged/Unglued) are permitted. Proxies are not allowed.

We usually play 3vs3 or 4vs4, with a shared life total (40 per team). Turns go clockwise, one player of Team A, followed by one player of Team B. Then it's Team A's second player's turn, followed by Team B's second player and so on.

If a player decides to attack, he does attack the whole team, not only one player. The whole defending team is allowed to block the attacker's creatures.

Effects that target "each player" or "each opponent", such as Blood Tithe resolve for all of them, e.g. all three opponents loose 3 life each, and you gain 9 life.

Furthermore, we have a certain gentleman's agreement, which says destroying lands is not an option.
