Originally built as a budget deck*, Ive since been upgrading it piece by piece. Lots of artifacts, lots of Eldrazi. With Koz at the helm, it becomes a control deck: get your search engines onto the field, leave mana open, tutor at instant speed to lock down your opponent, annihilate.

Biggest problem Ive been noticing is my ramp. Got most of the go-tos: vault, thran, sol, etc etc (crypts out of my price range atm). If I draw a god-hand, I can drop him on turn 2, but turn 6 seems closer to the average. Bad days, more like turn 8+, by which point theyve seen enough to know my game.

Couple combos:

Paradox Engine + Planar Portal + any big mana rocks = Tutor out everything to the field. Good for grabbing your remaining rocks, Angel, Darksteel, etc.

Kuldotha Forgemaster + Myr Battlesphere = Free card to the battlefield. Originally I ran Conjurers Closet to blink Myr, but it proved kinda janky. You could use the first tutor to grab Closet, but its a slow setup, time that could be better spent ramping and dropping your big beefy Lovecraft wannabes.

Blinkmoth Urn + Strionic Resonator = A frankly stupid amount of free mana, assuming youve already got a handful of artifacts on the field. A fast Blinkmoth is a fast Kozilek.

Hedron Matrix + Kozilek, the Great Distortion + Silent Arbiter = Game.

What can I improve on? Ugin, (new)Emrakul, and Karn are on my list, but assume that any card over $30 isnt currently an option.
