Winter in Russia is notorious for decimating armies. The cruel and unyielding environment becomes the greatest foe of an invading army, freezing them out, halting their progress. Teach your opponent the same harsh lesson.

The idea behind this deck is that almost everything in it is a potential threat at turn 6. The cheap tapping spells from early game become mid and late game creatures with powerful effects thanks to Awaken. Ojutai Monument acts as a mana stone and a potential late game threat. Halimar Tidecaller gives your awakened lands flying and returns a spell to your hand, Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper gives you free awakens or buffs awakened lands for +3/+3. FRF azorious dragons round out the deck, with Healing Hands and Student of Ojutai for life gain.

Update OGW: I have added Wall of Resurgence for Cunning Breezedancer , because I couldn't pass up a fatass defender + a free 3/3 land creature. Thanks again for all the upvotes!
