Hello Everybody!
Today we are taking a look at my Future Standard Deck! I had to raffle the four tribes of Ixalan and got stuck with Dinosaurs. This deck is absolutely insane as it whooped a lot of people. This deck may be expensive but it really does get the job done. I had a friend test it out and he went 4-0 and every game went 2-0. So let's talk about this deck.
Why Not Run White?First of all let's talk about why we are not running white. (Naya Dinosaurs)In my personal opinion, adding white is too complicated, risky, and a little slower than most decks in standard. In this format and the new ixalan cards. We are mostly going to be seeing Ixalan tribes, control, or combo decks. Most white dinosaurs are pretty expensive also even with the "Cost 1 Less to Cast" Trigger.
Objective of the DeckThe main objective of the deck is to get a lot of powerful and strong dinosaurs out onto the battlefield. You really don't need to worry about lands because the good shuffling and possibilities will get you there. You need to worry about what deck your opponent is playing and what dinosaurs you need out first. The main winners are Regisaur Alphas, Carnage Tyrant(s), and Burn Spells.
OTHER DECKS
Control DecksControl is really horrifying against this deck. That's why Carnage Tyrant is here to help. But this deck can be great. It's either counter a lot of burn spells or creature spells. The best strategy is get dinosaurs fast but leave mana open.
Energy DecksEnergy isn't the most major concern. The catch with energy is that you have to play fast, if you don't play fast enough, you will get overrun by energy decks.
Tribal DecksPirates - Pirate Tribal is the easiest deck to beat if you are playing dinosaurs.Vampires - Vampires are pretty tricky with all the vampire lifelink drops.Dinosaurs - You have to know a lot about combat triggers and everything to face another dinosaur deckMerfolks - You don't need to worry about them, make sure you dinosaurs are strong enough for their +1/+1 counters.
Anyways this deck can probably get you high on the Grand Prix and can get you automatic wins in regular tournaments. Please Comment on Any Changes and I will be back with More Fun Decks and Reviews!!
