Sideboard

Played this at FNM 1st week I made the list. It did well I knew I would have problems against abzan or ramp strategies coming in but not as much as i did game 1.

I tried some battle tricks on the guy but he just wouldn't fall for it and i had to concede but it was a good game none the less. I walked away knowing i needed to make some changes and modifications to the deck for next week. I enjoyed this deck so much i think i will continue playing through rotation with the deck since I'm only losing like 2 cards.

1st im gonna hit my removal package.

Ruinous Path did as expected taking out the big threats on the board.

Transgress the Mind is great against almost all strats except the mono red aggro list

Wasteland Strangler has been nice getting that -3/-3 every time on turn 3-4 there is more than enough to get him out and utilize his removal... although he doesn't straight take Siege Rhino but if they block with rhino and take at least 2 dmg can play MP2 and drop the rhino otherwise he hits most other creatures in the format.

Now to move on to the creatures and win cons

Ruination Guide is definitely a great leader in the deck providing anthem effect never really swing with him though. his +1/0 makes up for this in a big way.

Sire of Stagnation while he is great at milling our opponents the key to this big guy is the final part where he allows us to draw 2 cards he is just too strong not to play.

Sphinx's Tutelage now i was back and forth whether this card hits sideboard or main board but i eventually decided to main board since it can put on the clock when we can't attack which seems to happen a lot and in combination with Sire of Stagnation it gets really nasty making them mill 6 at least when they play a land.

And finally Ob Nixilis Reignited this guy just had to be a 1 of in the deck seeing that jace is 75$ ish and its way too much to pay out for this deck. He does hurt to + but he definitely makes up for how he hurts giving removal and a major win con for the deck.

To end i will finish with the cards that didn't cut it.

Ulamog's Nullifier this card was great with the concept of the deck and all utilizing the ingest but 4cmc was just killing me on him now if he were 2cmc or 3cmc would really contemplate him but he isn't. so i ended up dropping and adding Horribly Awry which is a nice finish.

I dropped Palace Siege all together from the sideboard i really thought i would have serious problems vs burn match up or the atarka red decks which i did and the siege was just too much and too late to really come into affect. game 1 vs atarka red with splash white he had me down to 1 life and then i played Tomb of the Spirit Dragon and in 3 turns i went from 1 life to 17 was really nice seeing i had answers in my land base to shut down burn. he conceded bc my board state got out of control for him even though he had an 11/11 on the board he just couldn't deal with death touch and 6 creatures 4/2 lol .... he did win game 2 and we went to time game 3 and tied but if it would of kept on i would of had him he had 0 cards in hand 1 creature i had 3 creatures tomb land and 5 cards in hand and was about to start hitting hard and gaining 5-6 life a turn.

I would say over all the deck did nice and i enjoyed testing it out. next week i expect nothing less than top 4. i believe i have fixed most everything in the deck to exactly what i expect.
