Starter Primary Red/Green Accent Theros

Standard* RG (Gruul)

combat_JD

The current build of this deck is a slightly altered version of the intro deck "Blazing Beasts of Myth". Any changes came from the additional packs included with the deck.
My primary concern is that the splash of green in this deck used to accent the red late-hit dynamic does not make sense at this point. I would like to understand the point of green in this deck to further build on it.

Updates Add

I decided the route I want to take this deck for now is to use green implemented with red for a more Gruul play style. For this I added 2x Ghor-Clan Rampager, with consideration for 4x.
I also figured green could serve as mana ramp for my heavier hitters such as Ember Swallower, Stoneshock Giant, and Polis Crusher, not only to get them out sooner, but also help them reach monstrous earlier on in the game. Currently I have 2x of the 4x Elvish Mystic that I want. I am also looking to add roughly 4 Burning-Tree Emissary.
So I guess in implementing this play style I will eventually eliminate any need for shocks as I look into adding more low cost creature spells to balance out the mana curve and utilize the mana ramp I have in the mean time.
The cards that I replaced were 1x Destructive Revelry and 1x Artisan's Sorrow (both better suited for sideboard, if that), and 2x Nessian Asp.
