Perfect balance of red and blue only conceivable by one such as Mercurial Chemister. Never worry about having legendary redundancy and stay in izzet style with all the one-of's.

...as for the details, it's just getting steamy.

Quality dual devotion from Frostburn Weird and Nivmagus Elemental. The weird can even swing for 4 on turn three and the elemental can get pumped with ciphers or make use of fizzled spells.

Start out with some Magma Jet keeping your opponents board empty and scrying up something hot. Hold steady with Dissolve and ordain your next draw. Thassa, God of the Sea keeps up the scry and gets you through defenses unblocked; perfect with the Hands of Binding cipher and Bident of Thassa. Draw a card, and if you have Young Pyromancer out pops a 1/1 elemental (even if you exile onto nivmagus). Have Purphoros, God of the Forge? These creatures bring two direct damage every time. Hammer of Purphoros uses up that leftover land making 3/3 hasters also activating purphoros. Drop Master of Waves for a win con with huge purphoros pump, and haste with the hammer. That wasn't enough? Massive Raid

Now sometimes, in a pinch, I may scry a god to the bottom; no worries, just Elixir of Immortality. Playing against a control deck with few creatures? Swap out those Hands for Negate. Lots of creatures? Swap in the Gorgon's Head and Izzet Staticaster. Enchantment heavy? Cyclonic Rift
