The premise for this deck is to put every part of the commander card, Glissa, to maximum use. The obvious part for building for her is the artifact cycling power - the deck is stacked with artifacts that cycle for useful effects, ensuring she can generate a value engine over the course of the game.

Since her trigger requires creatures to die and she has deathtouch, this deck runs a suite of kill spells including creatures with ETB kill effects, along with a smaller suite of equipment which normally makes its wearers into pingers - with deathtouch, they become snipers. About half of the creatures in the deck, and a few token generators, provide ample targets for equipping. The deck runs a few mass removal artifacts to protect itself against go-wide plans, but it mostly leverages tactical removal to have strong political relevance until the late game.

A few of the cards are here specifically to help get over the top. Since Glissa's combination of first strike and deathtouch means she only ever needs to deal one damage per blocker, Nylea and Primal Rage help the deck to get through blockers, and with Batterskull, Opal Palace, and Nylea for the main pumps, she can potentially power through a commander kill in a few turns.
