Alright, so a buddy of mine and I like to test out decks on each other. This is a ridiculously stupid deck that he made that no matter what draws I was getting, he could control the hell out of any aggro deck I played. When I did play a bit of control, he just had so many spells that I couldn't get them all.
It was built to focus on Manabarbs, but is by no means required. There is enough draw through Wall of Omens and Faithless Looting that he was able to get plenty of burn spells out before he could or even needed to play barbs.
A great combo was Ghostly Prison
+
Manabarbs
but he only got it off once in about 5 or 6 duels.
Idyllic Tutor was more of an afterthought that we had, but haven't tested it yet.
I've considered Path to Exile, but part of what makes Oblivion Ring good was preventing mana ramp.
Would love feedback because the deck worked incredibly well and finding ways to improve it would be awesome.
P.S. Not sure if land base is actually 24. I feel like I am forgetting a spell, but none come to mind and I know that he would get a lot of land out in games that took a while. So, possibly lose 4 lands and just throw in the tutor.
