New deck, based on the Lost Caverns of Ixalan precon with Hakbal of the Surging Soul. The goal is to generate tempo advantage and counters via Explore, especially when Nicanzil, Current Conductor is in play, as him and Hakbal can combo for amazing ramp and counter generation. Topography Tracker doubles the Explore trigger for all Merfolk, making her very helpful to our commander too

Then attack with Merfolk powered up with tribal effects and +1/+1 counters. There are ways to enhance the counters generated and even make the Merfolk unblockable. Trample would be nice here but I'm unsure what to cut for cards like Primal Rage or Zegana, Utopian Speaker
