Merfolk was always my go to when i first started playing Magic. Still to this day i find ways to try and build this deck as best as i can to make it function with a little guidance from other guru's. Regardless, i built this deck after my previous one vanished from my collection, and i don't recall what i had in it last. Amazingly though, this deck does function quite well, despite a little slow at the moment...

The deck consists of mostly 2 U cost cards and alot of 1U cost creatures as well for it to get started. Mainly though, the strategy of the deck is countering creatures ,while the opponents lands become islands or other colors to affect their playing strategies. Overflooding them with islands making them unable to play cards that they need without the required land, all the while filling the board with low cost merfolk that buff each other up and swing with islandwalk vengeance! Counterspells that return islands to my hand and untap lands, while forcing them to pay additional land for their cast or discard the permanent they wish to play. Deck is still in the works and i know of a few cardsthat it needs to function properly.
