Sideboard

"Some Things Never Change..."

This is a Death and taxes style W/B Humans deck for Pioneer.

This deck focuses on aggressive and disruptive creatures as well as synergy-based creatures to take advantage of disruptive ETB abilities. Nearly every creature in the deck has an ETB ability that can be abused. In addition to the human and blink synergies, this deck incorporates exile effects to set up Wasteland Strangler, one of the only non-human creates in the deck.

the basic value cycle of the deck uses cards like Kitesail Freebooter, Declaration in Stone, Banisher Priest, and Elite Spellbinder to exile interact with the opponent, while exiling their cards cards ---> use Wasteland Strangler for value ---> use Charming Prince to repeat for value. Not only do these cards active Wasteland Strangler, but Wasteland Strangler also makes them better by putting the exiled cards into the graveyard where the opponent has no way of interacting with them (as opposed to returning to the battlefield in the case of Banisher Priest or to hand in the case of Kitesail Freebooter, or being able to be cast from hand in the case of Elite Spellbinder).

Charming Prince has synergy with all of the aforementioned cards by being a human who can abuse the ETB abilities with his blink ability. Charming Prince also synergises with other creatures that dont interact with the opponent such as Thalia's Lieutenant, Knight of the White Orchid, Master Splicer and Thraben Inspector.

Thalia's Lieutenant is the Human Synergy payoff.

Athreos, God of Passage Isn't a human, but it is great in the deck. He Helps give our creates more resiliency/reach. It can sometimes be a struggle to get Athreos, God of Passage actived with most of the three drops only providing one W/B devotion. I think Athreos, God of Passage is still worth running.

Sideboard is loose and is mostly niche hatebears for certain matchups. Eerie Interlude is a great sideboard option that protects our creatures from wrath effects while also triggering our creature's ETB abilities
