Introduction

Sac a creature once, value; sac a creature twice, double the value, sac a creature INFINITE times you have INFINITE VALUE!!!

The philosophy of the deck is to find a set of persist, counter engineer and sac outlet to do infinite sac.

Creatures with persist keyword by themselves are not very good. They cannot do a lot beyond being sac twice. But if you can put a +1/+1 counter on it consistently, you can sac the creature infinite times. Not enough to win but that's a lot of value and fun.

Infinite Sac

- Use one of Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit/Good-Fortune Unicorn/Juniper Order Ranger/Vizier of Remedies pairing with a persist card - Saffi Eriksdotter + Renegade Rallier - The best part of this deck is --- if you can sac Woodfall Primus infinite time, you destroy all non-creature permanents (read: land) !!!

Sac for what

- Woe Strider/Viscera Seer + infinite sac -> vampiric tutor - Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + infinite sac -> draw cards and lose life - Ashnod's Altar/Phyrexian Altar + infinite sac -> infinite mana

infinite sac can create infinite tokens with Pawn of Ulamog infinite sac can win the game with Blood Artist/Cruel Celebrant

we have HULK

Protean Hulk is an amazing card in this deck. The use of it is not that broken comparing with others. However in a deck full of low cmc creatures, hulk is a tutor that can get you two or three creatures out of library for combo.

-Natural Order/Green Sun's Zenith/Finale of Devastation are ways to cheat Hulk out -animated dead if hulk is in the graveyard

what to get with Hulk?

• Viscera Seer + Kitchen Finks + Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit/Vizier of Remedies -> infinite life + tutor
• Viscera Seer + Renegade Rallier + Saffi Eriksdotter -> tutor
• Vizier of Remedies + Devoted Druid + Scavenging Ooze -> infinite green mana + empty opponents' graveyard

Based on the board/hand states, there might be other better options, be creative !

wait...but how about our commander?

Infinite sac combos won't straightly win you the game. They are just cool !

Tayam is the win con in this deck. Besides, Tayam provides more resilience to this strategy. Tayam also can be used as a toolbox that helps to rebuild the board after a board wipe. However, the activated ability of Tayam is not easy to activate due to the restriction of three counters. It requires Tayam to stay on the board for a while to get there.

Beyond all, Tayam (read: Zinogre) has an awesome art!

Combos with Tayam:

• Ashnod's Altar/Phyrexian Altar+ 2* Persist -> infinite mana/ Tayam trigger
• Ashnod's Altar + Pawn of Ulamog + persist + 1 mana -> infinite mana/ Tayam trigger
• Ashnod's Altar/Phyrexian Altar + Promise of Bunrei + a creature to sac + 1/2 mana(depends on which altar you use)-> infinite mana/ Tayam trigger
• Ashnod's Altar/Phyrexian Altar + Hallowed Spiritkeeper + 4/5 creatures in graveyard -> infinite mana/ Tayam trigger
• Devoted Druid + Hashep Oasis -> infinite mana/ Tayam trigger

After you get infinite mana and infinite tayam trigger, you just need to bring wincon from graveyard to the battlefield.

Game Plan

Game plan: Ashnod's Altar is the most important combo piece in this deck.

In the early game, try to use infinite sac combo with Viscera Seer/Woe Strider as a tutor to find Blood Artist/Cruel Celebrant.

If someone uses a remove spell to break your infinite sac, respond by trigger infinite sac again to find altar. Or if you have Devoted Druid in your hand, find Hashep Oasis.

After you have the altar, find Hallowed Spiritkeeper to combo with Tayam. Or use Tayam to get combo pieces back from the graveyard.

Threats

Containment Priest --- this card shuts down the whole deck, destroy on sight
