Welcome to my Temur Deck! This took 1st Place at this weekend's gameday and I thought I'd share it with you guys. This deck plays hard and fast and crushes control decks. Temur Ascendancy + Woodland Bellower into Savage Knuckleblade is an insane tempo swing if it doesn't outright end the game. Stubborn Denial is the real star of the deck and was responsible for so many wins this weekend. Coupled with Den Protector Stubborn Denial gives so much tempo control decks can rarely keep up.
Card Choices
Stubborn Denial
Nuff' Said. Keeps our big stuff on the board.
Draconic Roar
Best red removal spell in the format at the moment, with the dragon trigger an extra bonus.
Crater's Claws
Helps Deal with bigger stuff and can close out games. The ferocious trigger makes this a constant threat the opponent has to consider.
Heir of the Wilds
Was originally Sylvan Advocate but found this much better in the 2cmc slot. Always trades up or pulls removal, and hits in for decent damage every turn through blockers.
Rattleclaw Mystic
Helps somewhat with mana fixing, although I had no mana issues with the deck. Allows to plop threats down a turn earlier or lets us keep stubborn denial up when playing on curve.
Savage Knuckleblade
Super scary beater on turn three with resilience and the ability to block things like Tasigur, the Golden Fang without dying. Super good in the deck.
Temur Ascendancy
Generates ridiculous tempo and card advantage. I never found that using a turn to play an ascendancy put me behind due to the advantages it brings in the following turns.
Woodland Wanderer
6/6 for 4 mana with trample, vigilance and often time haste + card draw? Yes please.
Thunderbreak Regent
Hell for control decks with evasion. Super good when combined with...
Icefall Regent
Taps down big creatures and so acts as pseudo-removal. With Thunderbreak Regent out all removal targeting it costs 2 mana and 3 health more.
Woodland Bellower
Bit of a sleeper card from origins in my opinion. Insanely good with ascendancy out.
Thanks!
