Sideboard

Temur build I plan to try when FRF comes out.

Focusing mostly on getting threatening flyers in play, along with other hard-to-handle creatures like Heir of the Wilds and Savage Knuckleblade. Clear a path with the spells and beat down!

Possible future changes

  • Shockmaw Dragon is in there for testing purposes, as his trigger combined with Polymorphist's Jest seems quite strong. If it turns out bad I'll replace with Stormbreath Dragon or Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker.
  • Remove Polymorphist's Jest and bring in Reality Shift from the sideboard. This is contingent on how Shockmaw pans out.
  • Mainboard Stubborn Denial in place of Wild Slash, as Denial would be better vs control and midrange decks. Depending on whether aggro is a thing, Slash either goes to sideboard or gets cut entirely.
  • Sideboard something to contain token decks. In testing out a version without the FRF cards, it is really tough to deal with decks that go super wide with tokens. This isn't big fatty Temur, and I don't want to run Anger of the Gods and exile my Phoenixes. Shockmaw Dragon would be great to cover this, but it costs 6 mana and dies to Stoke the Flames. Arc Lightning seems like the next best thing, but in my experience doesn't quite do enough.
  • Currently running Temur Ascendancy in place of Monastery Siege. I've been unexpectedly impressed, so I might just stick with it. Most of the creatures are already hard to get rid of permanently, so adding a mana tax to their removal might not be that much added value.
