Today, I have a Mono. Green Decotion Brew for you all to enjoy! The deck's main purpose is to ramp into big scary threats your opponents can't deal with. Then stomp their face!

The decks best performance was when it generated 120 mana on around turn 9-10. My devotion was 35, I had a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and a Voyaging Satyr out to generate 70 G mana. Then I used Karametra's Acolyte to generate 35 more which is a total of 105. I also had enough forests and mana dorks in play to generate an additional 15. You're probably wondering what I used all that mana for? I had a Soul of Zendikar out so that's 24 3/3 beats tokens every turn!

I see this deck doing great things in the future. I would love some feedback, thanks guys and happy Deckbuilding!

FNM Top 8 — Aug. 31, 2014

So, I made top 8 again.

Round 1, Bant control, 1-2. This was not my match. Game 1 I had a great board presence. I was very happy when he missed his 6th land drop since I knew he ran Elspeth, Sun's Champion. I did have Nissa, Worldwaker out and kept popping out 4/4's. But, he played Elspeth, killed Nissa, and overran me with tokens. Game 2 he misplayed bad, and he didn't even now it. I had a board of Nylea, God of the Hunt, Soul of Zendikar, and Hydra Broodmaster. He plays Planar Cleansing, but has out a Jace, Architect of Thought, and 3 Detention Sphere. I get back a Soul, Garruk, Caller of Beasts, and Nissa, Worldwaker. I then proceed to fill up my hand and create 4/4's. I win. Game 3 I get him down to 3 with endless Mistcutter Hydra attacks and Skylasher. But he stabilizes with Elspeth, Sun's Champion.

Round 2, Golgari rock, 2-0. I easily took this match. Game 1 I wiped his board of mana dorks with Polukranos, World Eater and swung for 39 on turn 7. game 2 I created 13 13/13's and overran him.

Round 3, naya tokens, 1-2. game 1 he got a great start with turn 3 Purphorous, God of The Forge into turn 4 Elspeth, Sun's Champion. So I was taking 6 every turn just off of Elspeth +1's. game 2 I wiped the board turn 6 and overran him. Game 3 he ended up overloading a Mizzium Mortars, and being able to kill off Nissa, Worldwaker. I just GG'd.

Round 4, had to leave, 2-0. my opponent had to leave so he gave me the win.

Top 8 we split with $15 store credit. It was the last top 8 FNM (which sucks) and so the split was higher than usual.
