I was always planning on making a Najeela, the Blade-Blossom deck and I figure I may as well put Lovisa and some of this deck's power cards into it. It was a fun excursion but Lovisa is just a generally weak commander. There are a surprising number of good Warriors in Mono-Red but they're all higher-CMC. Much of the best utility cards and the commander herself are all around the same CMC so there's a huge bottleneck there. Filling this deck with mediocre 3-drops to reduce the average CMC just felt so dumb.

Lovisa Coldeyes has been a pet card of mine for some time. I always wanted to make a Warrior tribal that had her in it along side some other favorite cards, like Ankle Shanker (Ankle-Shanking Alpha ☣ (Warrior Tribal), Saskia's Ankle-Shankers ☣ (Warrior Tribal)). Making an actual Warrior tribal felt underwhelming so I kind of pushed the idea off to the side. I bought Saskia the Unyielding 's precon with the hopes of making a (lower-case 'B') barbarian horde deck (Ankle-Shanking) but there doesn't seem to be room for Lovisa, as not quite enough of the good humanoids are Warriors, Barbarians, or Berserkers--though some certainly are.

Might as well give Lovisa her own deck! I have a soft-spot for mono-Red in EDH (being the underdog of the color wheel). My other mono-Red decks are Magitek Machinations (Feldon Reanimator) and Zadonkadonk -- (Budget Zada Aggro).
