Went 1-2 at FNM recently, I need better sideboard tech.
Game 1: Grixis Aggro 2-0
This was a fairly strange deck, even stranger than mine. He was counting on small creatures like Spike Jester and Cloudfin Raptor to get through quickly while delaying his opponent with Unsummon. I won handily both rounds by removing his early threats and simply having bigger creatures.
Game 2: Selesnya 1-2
Misplayed these games several times, forgetting to destroy the creature targetted by Rancor AS it was being cast instead of after it was cast. I deserved to lose, but my deck didn't. First game I won by slowly whittling him down after forcing him to discard, second game he managed to get a Loxodon Smiter and Wolfir Silverheart on the board after I had spent my removal on his other creatures, third game he was just too fast
Game 3: Junk Aristocrats/Tokens 0-2
This matchup would have been a totally different story had I brought along Illness in the Ranks, but unfortunately I didn't. Lingering Souls and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad do very well against my single target removal, and Gavony Township pumps everything to make it huge. Pithing Needle from the sideboard did well to delay my death by locking down Sorin and Cartel Aristocrat, but it wasn't enough. The fact that token death doesn't grant me card draw from Harvester of Souls also didn't work in my favour.
Overall changes: -3 Blood Scrivener from the sideboard and +3 Illness in the Ranks
