Basically you use Glittering Wish to give you 7 chances to pull Jeskai Ascendancy. Also giving access to a toolbox of spells. I'm still working on the sideboard.
The synergy in this deck is great, making it capable of winning without relying on getting the Jeskai Ascendancy combo every game.
Let's start with the wincons:
Monastery Swiftspear
- With only 9 creatures and an average of 1 mana cost, this guy is constantly getting pumped. Combine that with
Jeskai Ascendancy

Retraction Helix
cast on a creature, and BOOM. Pretty easy to draw into your wincon if buffing your creature isn't enough.
Altar of the Brood
- This nice little 1 mana card is another great way to win. Cant attack with your buffed creature? Deck them.
Glittering Wish
- Ideally the sideboard will have a few game turning cards. I'm still working on perfecting it.
Cheap Draw:
Gitaxian Probe
- Nice, cheap, let's me see what's coming.
Serum Visions
- Scry is awesome in this deck to set up my next draws.
Treasure Cruise
- I like this for a cheap draw 3, but it messes up my
Snapcaster Mage
sometimes. Maybe switch out for
Dig Through Time
.
Remand
- I guess this counts as a draw.
Artifacts, other crud:
Engineered Explosives
- This sets up the combo, but also can be used as a destroy spell if necessary.
Tormod's Crypt
- Just in case they like to use graveyards, also sets up the combo.
Sylvan Caryatid
- This card is great to play
Retraction Helix
on, but also can add infinite mana to the combo.
Lightning Bolt
- duh.
Snapcaster Mage
- seemed to fit well.
