Want to hit your opponent with lots of creatures, but still give them the power to stomp your opponent into the dirt? I have your solution.
This deck focuses on the artifact creatures within. Particularly Memnite and Ornithopter. Costing exactly 0 mana to play, you can easily drop them out on your opponent, working towards powering the Metalcraft ability of
Indomitable Archangel
.
On its own, Signal Pest isn't the best card. But get a few of these cheap, underrated creatures out and that battle cry can be the difference between which creatures get destroyed.
Tempered Steel
is great in any artifact-based deck, as it pumps up your artifact creatures with +2/+2, and combined with Memnite, Signal Pest, and Ornithopter, you are looking at some major fighting power.
While unable to gain power from
Tempered Steel
,
Wandering Wolf
can be paired with
Trusted Forcemage
and powered further through Signal Pest's Battle Cry, and pass right by your opponents creatures who have less power, and
Trusted Forcemage
itself can pair with your other creatures as well to give them yet another little boost.
And then come the big hitters. Giant Growth is a fantastic card. A cheap way to pump your creatures up with, this little baby will give any creature a +3/+3 boost for 1 green mana.
Overrun
does the same to ALL of your creatures and gives them trample, for the cost of 5 mana, and also for 5 mana, you can play Overwhelming Stampede, basically
Overrun
brought up to 11.
Defang
is pretty self-explanatory, reducing the threat level of your opponent's bigger creatures, and
Angel's Tomb
becomes a 3/3 Artifact Angel when you play a creature, and can be powered up by
Tempered Steel
, Signal Pest, and any of the pump-up instants and sorcery cards.
