Sideboard

Erebos knows Theros is a machine. A machine for pigs. Fit only for the slaughtering of pigs. The tradgedy of the Aztecs was that they could not spill enough blood, and he can do better.

There are three things going on in this deck - we are running Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Obzedat, Ghost Council, and Reaper of the Wilds, a trifecta of threats that are all very hard to remove and provide a lot of added value in the form of lifegain and scries.

We are running Erebos, God of the Dead and Underworld Connections to turn that vitae into value in the form of cards.

And we are running all of the best removal in Standard.

The sideboard choices are a concession to the aggro in my meta, but are focused to shore up on this deck's weaknesses and with an eye towards synergy. Unflinching Courage is strong vs aggro and incredible on Reaper. Trostani stops aggro in it's tracks and is just dumb with Obzedat.

Sin Collector and Whip of Erebos are incredible against control and even better together. The removal package can be tweaked to hate on whatever our opponents are trying to do.

The most challenging matchup is burn with Satyr Firedancer.

Modest showing. Defeated Mono-B, Orzhov Midrange, and RWB Midrange. Lost to Mono-B. I can pretty confidently say I got lucky in my wins and unlucky in my losses.
