This deck turns those false hope mythic rare pulls into cards that can be usable. This deck is a place where the high drop excluded mythic rare comes (so no Stormbreath Dragon or Blood Baron of Vizkopa here) shine. (Note: To go budget, lose the Overgrown Tomb and take guild gates and normal land. For more budget, take out some mythic reanimation creatures and find some powerful rares. Also, losing the Hero's Downfall for a playset of Putrefy helps a lot.)
This deck features the cards Lotleth Troll, Whip of Erebos and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The basic combo is discarding a card with Lotleth Troll, reanimating it with the Whip of Erebos, attacking, and then at the end of the turn (or before, depending on the situation) sacking the creature with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, and hitting your opponents hard.
Quick Card Description:
Elvish Mystic- Standard ramp card. Since our little combo does take 7 mana in one turn, some ramp could help achieve that earlier.
Sylvan Caryatid- Even better mana ramp.
Lotleth Troll- Wincon by himself. Gets very powerful from the high drops we discard. Very difficult to get rid of, and is a star against control decks.
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord-In here for his sacrifice ability, though I have seen him get strong.
Abhorrent Overlord- Reanimation creature. When he comes back, he makes tokens. I've usually gotten 5 (one from Lotleth Troll, two from Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, and two from himself). Swing for 6 in the air, and then sac him for a total of 12 damage.
Giant Adephage-Reanimation creature. He also leaves a lasting mark. If he deals damage you get strong wurm. Attack and sac him for massive damage.
Lord of the Void-Reanimation creature. Can leave a lasting impact if he deals damage, by getting you their creature. Can deal 14 damage in one turn.
Necropolis Regent, Sepulchral Primordial,- More awesome reanimation creatures.
Whip of Erebos- Reanimation effect. Lifelink is a bonus.
Grisly Salvage, Commune with the Gods-Good for hunting down a creature you need, or can get creatures in the graveyard if Lotleth Troll isn't appearing. Grisly Salvage being in instant is nice, but Commune with the Gods can bring the Whip of Erebos out.
