First and foremost Sydri is probably my favorite card in Magic, And I highly suggest checking out her lore.

Sydri paired with some good artifacts has the ability to be a MAJOR threat. But before I go into what combos with her I am going to explain my thought process and why I chose certain cards. Me personally I am not a fan of the way older cards look. So I try to find newer versions of cards I need. With this deck I wanted to not only control the board as much as possible, but I wanted to make a really fun deck. UPDATE Got a good amount of cards for my deck, still working on it, but I am almost done! So that being said let's get into this!

Okay so I have always been a blue player at heart, So I always like to make sure I have some control aspect of my deck, which causes a ton of hate. Making opponent look like this: And end up having them like this:

Sydri, Galvanic Genius alone is really good. Allowing me to make any artifact into a potential attacker or blocker is really good. When we add in cards like Mycosynth Lattice this turns her first ability turns into tap one blue, destroy a land, which is insane. Her second ability is also pretty deadly, Throwing this onto a high Power creature will result in tons of Lifegain and the destruction of an enemy creature.

Now above I set cards into categories that I thought would best fit them.

Some Key Combos to the deck are:

Mycosynth Lattice + Sydri, Galvanic Genius This right here allows me to destroy as much land as I want, on top of raising or lowering mine and my opponents creature Power and Toughness values.

Thopter Assembly + Time Sieve This pretty much allows for infinite turns.

Sword of the Meek + Thopter Foundry This will allow for a lot of Lifegain.

Darksteel Forge + Mycosynth Lattice + Nevinyrral's Disk This right here allow for mass destruction while my stuff is safe.

If I do not manage to pull off combos, I will bring out some Fatties to aid me. Magister Sphinx allows for my opponent to lose a ton of life, This also helps for players with massive Lifegain.

Darksteel Colossus? Uhhh YES! In my opinion nothing is more scarier then giant creatures with Trample. Darksteel being Indestructible is AWESOME!. This stuff is CRAZY! I have been thinking on adding Blightsteel Colossus but have not decided yet.

Cannot find what you are looking for? Don't worry, I got them Tutors:

Having a lot of Tutors in this deck is pretty good, Having access to Black spells allows for Demonic Tutor and Diabolic Tutor which is amazing. Having the ability to search for whatever card you need for any situation is always a good thing.

Well what about removal?:

Having many ways to remove major threats is always good and allow you to survive longer! looking back at Darksteel Forge + Mycosynth Lattice + Nevinyrral's Disk just shows how stuff wont exactly touch you.

Hex Parasite Is a really good card for getting rid of Planeswalkers or just removing those +1/+1's or just about anything that has counters.

Toxic Deluge is a good way of getting rid of indestructible creatures

Spell Crumple is a nice way to tuck their commander when they cast it.

Detention Sphere Not only does it exile threats but it gets rid of tokens!
