So a Human Knight and a Siren Pirate walk into a bar...

AHOY MATIES! I built this deck for Hardhitta7's random combo challenge! The combo I randomly got was Drannith Magistrate and Knowledge Pool , which creates a lock where your opponents won't be able to cast any more spells. Initially I was going to do a Lavinia, Azorius Renegade deck, but I thought I could aim for something a bit more spicy.

Initially, Bant seemed like the way to go, with many creature and artifact tutors. I also wanted to build something of an aggressive deck that could fall back on the lock as a backup win condition. With the plethora of Birthing Pod effects, we can easily tutor up any of our toolbox of creatures. And Malcolm wanted us to play pirates. SO what better opportunity for us to play the dirtiest of pirates Rishadan Cutpurse Rishadan Footpad and Rishadan Brigand ! We can quickly tax our opponents by evolving up this food chain, then laying the stax down with our flicker effects!

Jolrael, Mwonvuli Recluse and Mirror Entity can pump our creatures and still allows us to get around Sidar's restriction! And with Arcane Adaptation and Maskwood Nexus EVERYTHING IS A PIRATE! Huzzah!

The deck also runs a few redundant backup pieces for the original combo. Teferi, Time Raveler Uba Mask and Lavinia, Azorius Renegade can all help out in a pinch!
