Well, I have learned that protection is going to be needed for my meta. Pretty much everyone is a control player. Anyways here how tonight went.
First match: U/B control
Game one I got him down to 5 health, but he had a Jace, Telapath Unbound and Silumgar, the Drifting Death so my creatures couldn't get through. I kept wishing my Enshrouding Mists were Gods Willings. I lost that game eventually because he gained back life from Foul-Tongue Invocation and gain lands. Game two I sided in my Scab-Clan Berserkers for both Citadel Castellan. This time he destroyed everything I had with Bile Blight and Ultimate Price. He had Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Silumgar again. Lost that one too.
Match 2: Mono White Enchantments
He was mana screwed both games so I easily won. First game I should have mulliganed, but I slowly beat him down with Topan Freeblade. Game two I sided in Back to Nature and both Erases for 2 Mist and Mighty Leap. I had Goblin Glory Chaser out with 2 Freeblades and both Hardened Scales and quickly won that match.
Match 3: G/W Mid-range
Basically I got screwed for red mana in both games and lost because she built a bigger board presence with Fleecemane Lions, Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, and Managorger Hydras. For sideboard I put in my Valorous Stances and a Dromoka's Command. It didn't really help much.
Match 4: Esper Control
Game one I couldn't get anything out there at all and need to say when I did I wanted Gods Willing over Mist. Game two I sided like the first match. The deck was on point this time with Glory Chasers, Scales, and Valeron Wardens. Finished him with Atarka's Command. Third game I only had two mana the whole time and he got Dragonlord Ojutai out on turn five ended it pretty quickly.
So overall I went 3-6-0 which is not what I wanted, but I know now the value of protection and how it will further my deck. I will update the deck list with an improved state that should help me in the mid-range and control match ups. Thanks everyone for the ideas and now I shall be preparing for Game Day!
