Ok, like many of my brews... don't take thhem to any PTQ's and expect results haha. I play just for fun magic and this is one of two of my decks that just gets out of hand.

Every self-respecting commander player knows the insanity involved with Doubling Season and planeswalkers. And thanks to Travis Woo and some other trailblazing modern players, the interaction between Jace, Architect of Thought, Garruk Wildspeaker, and Doubling Season have been explored a bit in the last year or so.

However, I just couldn't help but to think that there was more! Keep in mind that a competitive (if there was such a thing) superfriends build in modern needs quite a lot of control and card draw (among other utility). Read no further if you're looking to beat Jund or Living End more times than not. I chose to go all in on the strategy and the hilarity ensues from there.

Turns one through 3 are for playing Oath of Nissa and walls to set up plays and assemble 5-13 mana by turns 4-5. Its simple.. you either do it or you don't. If your opponent kills all your stuff just hang on for the ride. Once a Doubling Season is down, really any top deck puts you back into the game.

Turn 4 is where things get spicy. You can go off and just win here, but sometimes its Doubling Season/pass. The goal is to cast any plainswalker for immediate value, but especially a Jace, Architect of Thought or Ugin, the Spirit Dragon . Jace is literally like running copies 5-7 of Ugin, the Spirit Dragon except he costs 4 less mana and lets you cast an opponent's bomb too. WTF?!

So anyway, cast Ugin (or Jace, fetching Ugin), fill your hand, put planeswalkers into play, ultimate all the planeswalkers, win hard.

There is also a singleton Primal Surge because its my favorite card in magic. This is also a t4 instant win card so why not run it? Have fun with the deck and lmk what you think.

CARD BREAKDOWN:

Walls: mana dudes/card draw

Doubling Season: Combo enabler

Jace, Architect of Thought: Fetch Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and cast a bomb from opponent's deck

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon : Cycle through your deck to put all of your walkers into play (finding more jaces or ugins to keep the ball rolling)

Tamiyo, the Moon Sage: ultimate emblem allows infinite ugin activations (just dont deck yourself)

Elspeth, Sun's Champion: board wipe and token/emblem generation.

Sarkhan Vol : give all your tokens haste

Other Planeswalkers: utility, stalling, board stabilization.
