The Weird Pirates and the Temur of Treasures

Commander / EDH Artifact Exile Food RUG (Temur) Tokens Treasure

AlexValravn

All Aboard!! Rashmi and Ragavan are commanding a bunch of weirdos to conquer the treasures of Temur

This deck is built to send you on an adventure. You will start your turn, cast your first spell, and then, the magic happens. Rashmi and Ragavan lead the Command Zone with their trigger ability that creates Treasure and exiles the top card of an opponent library when you cast the first spell on your turn. Then, depending on the number of artifacts you control, you can cast it for free if its mana cost is less than the total number of artifacts you control; or if you don't meet the threshold for casting it for free, you can cast it this turn from exile paying its cost. This powerful ability allows you to have impulsive draw from your opponents and at the same time gives you the chance to play a free card! So let's fill the board with artifacts to be able to cast everything from your opponents for free!

The best way to do that is by using the weapons that you already have with Rashmi and Ragavan: the Treasure. The first crew members of our ship to undiscovered territories are Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, Xorn, and the great Jolene, the Plunder Queen, who will encourage your opponents to not attack you by giving them a Treasure if they attack a player other than you. And what about creating even more "things"? "Pirates" do not only care about Treasure, and Academy Manufactor will be supervising that your crew is fed, with an interest in "investigate" and rich.

And you can do great things whit that amount of tokens... even a ton of damage. The other part of this weird crew of "pirates" are the hitters Hedron Detonator, Ingenious Artillerist, and Reckless Fireweaver. And you can also use Junk Winder to clear the path for you or other players to deal damage to your opponents, or just defend yourself. These cards will punish your opponents each time that your token creators like Saheeli, Sublime Artificer, Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy, Loyal Apprentice, Tireless Provisioner, and Tireless Tracker are on the board. These token creators will be creating tokens as part of your normal game plan, like playing lands or moving into different phases of the game (attack or end step), and draining your opponents in a blink.

However, you are here to seek as much riches as you can. That's the reason to have cards like Brass's Bounty, Unexpected Windfall,Crack Open, or Root Out, that regardless of the situation in which you need them, will still generating value.

Ok, we have been talking about this weird crew, but who are the people in charge here? Who are the bosses?

Let's begin with the Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain, who will give you as many cards as you want once you cast Encroaching Mycosynth. Remember that your commander relies on having artifacts on the board ;). On top of that, you have Idol of Oblivion, which will trigger each of your turns. To "fix" the tokens you have Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer is here to give you exactly what you need each turn, or you can trust in Jaheira, Friend of the Forest or Urza, Lord High Artificer to "fix" your mana base using your tokens. Once you have the tokens you need, you maybe want to use them for free thanks to the static ability of Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh. Oh! And don't worry about losing your artifacts, Emry, Lurker of the Loch will help you bring back the stuff you lost.

And what is an adventure without... a dinosaur? (Etali, Primal Conqueror // Etali, Primal Sickness) dragons? (Hellkite Igniter or Shimmer Dragon) Have fun looking at your opponents when you cast them out of nowhere thanks to the number of resources you have... pshh! Look at this Inspiring Statuary!

But wait... our commander Rashmi and Ragavan has another important part in its ability. Let's do some shenanigans with Lantern of Insight and Strionic Resonator to really know which opponent has the juicy card that you will play for free!
