[The Trigon of Thugs]

How do I put this?

Quite simply, this deck is gross. It is a horrible blend of Green/Black Infect, White/Blue control, Black/Blue proliferation effects, and Green/Blue Simic ridiculousness that allows you to mess with the people you are playing against (or your teammates as well) because this deck is, like I said, really gross.

So what do you do with a deck like this? There are many different strategies that this deck can be used in. They include:

The (Semi) Aggressive Approach

Okay, so maybe this deck isn't the best possible candidate to turn two an opponent with. No matter. Use Blighted Agent or other small, devious infect-bastards like Glistener Elf along with some +1/+1 counter generators to poison not only your opponents, but also your reputation as a player. Yay!!

The Dictator's Approach

This is exactly what it sounds like. Get some obnoxious enchantments and/or artifacts out on the board like Propaganda, Authority of the Consuls and Norn's Annex to name a few, then sit in your very own metaphorical pillow fort and threaten the other players with Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and other creatures. You won't make many friends, but hey. At least you control the board.

"The X Virus" Approach

This strategy requires a couple small things, the most important of which is this: You must get along with this deck. There are no exceptions to this rule. You must be able to use what cards this deck gives you, and also survive with said cards until the time is right. If you do this, you will be rewarded with the power to destroy all in your path. Once again, this is metaphorical. Don't try to do this outside of your basement/friend's basement/parents' basement or you will be in for an unpleasant surprise. For one, wait as long as you possibly can for the moment to strike, summoning powerful creatures and buffing them with +1/+1 counters. Then, when you have acquired numerous creatures, unleash your infected army by casting Triumph of the Hordes or Herald of Secret Streams so that your opponents will be trampled by infect, and possibly unblockable unfairness (cough cough Blighted Agent cough cough Herald of Secret Streams cough cough).

The 1-5% Infinite Combo Chance/Luck of the Draw Approach

This needs little to no explanation. Use Ezuri, Claw of Progress and proliferation effects to gain at least five experience counters, then go infinite with Sage of Hours. The game is practically yours, unless Sage of Hours gets blown up. Then this already rare combo doesn't work.

And that is basically how this deck works. Originally, this was meant to be a Jund/Infect deck because it was the weirdest thing that I could think of, but I couldn't find a good commander that fit the style of the deck, so I switched to Atraxa.

(By the way, Herald of Secret Streams will appear to be illegal until Ixalan comes out. I will try to fix the issue when the new set comes out).
