This deck looks amazingly furious.

Theros Update Upgrades RDW!

In a format that is sure to see some significant slowing down RDW is clearly at the front of the pack for fast paced beatdown and with the release of yet ANOTHER Searing Spear clone, (seriously Wizard's?), what is a guy to do except bury your opponent in burn spells and dragons.

What could be an even more significant upgrade is that of a 4/4 flying baby of Thundermaw Hellkite in the form of Stormbreath Dragon. Good ole Thundermaw will be so happy to see how his kin grows to monstrous levels, literally.

Some changes I made after the PTQ.

Put in 2x Mutavault . They should have been in there from the beginning.

So results from this decks first local FNM showing.

Round 1: Win (2-0), 4C control.

Round 2: Win (2-1), Gruul Aggro

Round 3: Loss (1-2), Mono-Green Elf bomb.

Round 4: Win (2-0), Slivers

Round 5: Loss (1-2), Naya Midrange

Round 6: Win (2-1), UWR Control.

Wrap up: Deck performed amazing for me. Had 3 Turn 4 kill games. Really love the changes I made to main and side board post PTQ. Both Burning-Tree Emissary and Zealous Conscripts found me significant power plays to wins. Got more onlookers and "Wow!" compliments. Had a couple rage losers, but they were friends, and we hugged it out. No one likes to get beat by this deck. Give it a shot. You'll love your results.
