This deck (which does not come recommended for people living in glass houses) aims to get some early infect in with weenie creatures and then close the game out by using proliferate effects and by hyucking rocks. It is a casual deck that aims for the power level just above that of an average precon. If you want to know my thoughts on infect’s place in casual EDH you should watch the beginning of the video.

We also sport a +1 +1 counter subtheme supported by Reyhan. This plays nicely with our proliferation and our infect creatures who can always use a buff.

We don’t have a heavy focus into landfall since we only need a few rocks. We do however run Retreat to Kazandu and Evolution Sage for obvious reasons.

Next, we have some -1 -1 counter synergies too. Stuff like The Scorpion God can help keep us in the game with the card advantage they provide.

As for anthems I decided not to emphasize them as much. We have more versatile options in Return of the Wildspeaker and Castle Embereth

Lastly, the main reasons to play red infect. We rely on Gratuitous Violence, Fiery Emancipation, Arcbond, and Chandra's Ignition to help us close out our games.

This is a casual deck as stated earlier and the aim is for this to play nicely at card shops and kitchen tables alike. The deck is supposed to be a nice toe-dipping into infect with a deck that isn’t trying to 1-shot someone on turn 4 or lock down the table and proliferate them all to death. This deck just wants to launch some rocks.

Budget swaps for everything over ten dollars. This is a pretty cheap deck already.

Skytherix (or however you spell it) can be swapped for Phyrexian Vatmother or Phyrexian Juggernaut or maybe even Putrefax Finale of Devastation can be swapped out for Chord of Calling or Regrowth Agadeem’s Awakening can just be a swamp no need to get fancy. Or one of the other black MDFC lands if there IS a need to get fancy.

Sword of Truth and Justice can be swapped for Throne of Geth or Plaguemaw Beast or even Pollenbright Druid perhaps.

Thousand-Year Elixir can be swapped for Crashing Drawbridge or Magewright’s Stone Fiery Emancipation can become an Angrath’s Marauders or Quest for Pure Flame
