Cards with madness:
Give every vampire madness:
How to benefit from emptying your hand:
In this deck, you'll definitely do player damage through combat. Either with a trampling Furyblade Vampire, unblockable creature with Key to the City, one of the many flyers, or just simply playing an aggro deck with lots of creatures.
So, there are some ways to benefit from this player damage and lay on the damage:
Giving all your vampires firststrike (and +1/+1) help them to attack without fear of blockers. F.E. a Furyblade Vampire dies to any 2/2 blocking it. with first strike, and using its ability, it needs to be blocked by a 5/5 (or 6/6 with Stromkirk Captain) to die in combat.
So, there are ways to give your vampires first strike:
The Key cards in this set (forgive the pun), really are Key to the City & Furyblade Vampire. Key to the city lets you loot through your deck, make sure combat damage goes through, enable madness cards, etc. furyblade vampire is a quick clock. It's inefficient to have multiple on the board, but it can easily discard a furyblade vampire in your hand instead. These must definitely be 4-ofs.
Alms of the Vein & Fiery Temper help turning the discard downsides into huge cheap upsides in line with the aggro strategy. I'm debating putting another Alms of the Vein in, instead of having 3. It's a surprisingly strong common.
Falkenrath Gorger is a nice aggro 2/1 vampire, but its ability isn't super relevant, since i've found there are more than enough madness cards. that's why it's only a 3-of.
