Trinket Mage beats with trinkets, shackles, and some nice, thirst-quenching knowledge, plus the help of a few islands.

I started thinking about this deck a month or so ago when I found this forum post: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=421889 (and though the idea for the deck came from this primer, a good chunk of the deck as well as the name of the deck is my own design).

This particular incarnation of the deck is mine, and I am still tweaking it. I have only recently started testing it, and it is taking me a long time to work through most of my games. I am thinking about playing Batterskull (instead of Orochi Hatchery ), but it is easier to test Orochi Hatchery since it is tutorable.

Some other notes. In the primer, it suggests Miren, the Moaning Well as a great card for this deck (as it turns Shackles into a kind of a soft lock). I am considering this, but my mana base is pretty greedy as is.

I also have not tested against Blood Moon, yet. I feel as though I could alter the deck pretty easily to make the deck much more resilient to Blood Moon (take out all of the cards that I need white for, go to 1 Hallowed fountain, and go up 2 islands and an electrolyze, probably).
