The concept of Polymorphing a token into Progenitus is not my original idea, but I feel like I’ve modified it quite a bit from the mono-blue version that I saw a couple years back: not to mention, we’ve gained some new cards in the past year, namely Occult Epiphany. There are many things I could have done differently, but for my playgroup’s budget of $25–40 decks, I felt like I made good choices. For counterspells I used Force Spike because my playgroup tends to aggressively tap out every turn, and they need to learn how to chill out, though I do give props to their awesome and inventive aggro decks. I also chose to use Memory Lapse because it takes away the opponent’s draw step while the user finds critical land drops, and virtually only needs to survive til turn six, so I find that soft counters are ok in this deck. I add one copy of Thud for flavor. When we sacrifice Progenitus it goes back into the deck and we can Polymorph later if the thud does not lead to a final blow. However, although Thud may get some laughs at the table, I’m not sure it is reliable. I hope you enjoy!
