Welcome to my 5th Commander decklist, this time featuring Knights

A proper, thematic introduction will come another time, but for now please check the card descriptions. A note: there's more draw and interactions than the decklist shows. Worth a read in the texts below:

Strategy

The deck is straight forward: we want to keep playing and attacking with Knights to maintain pressure and trigger Sidar's Eminence so we can continuously draw cards and set up more Knights for reanimation

We want to have Haakon, Stromgald Scourge with us every game, through drawing or tutoring him (Entomb and Buried Alive are especially useful for this), so that discarded or vanquished creatures can be played from the graveyard on top of being brought back with Sidar's ability. Haakon can also bypass the Commander Tax if Sidar is killed, since I can choose for him to stay on the graveyard and then simply pay the 4 mana to play him again from there. These two Knights are the core of the deck

Other than them, Roaming Throne is another card we want in play as much as possible, so we can double our triggered abilities; Vodalian Wave-Knight, who takes advantage of at least two drawn cards per-turn to beef up our ranks; Kinsbaile Cavalier, who grants the fearsome Double Strike; and Knight Exemplar, which makes every Knight hard to kill, including Sidar himself, and further opens the door for reckless assaults. If these creatures are targetted we can reanimate them again and again, except for Throne which isn't a true Knight sadly

Then we just play other Knights as they come, attempting to form a solid army to dominate the board. We have good protective spells, interactions and more drawing effects to support our game plan

Infantry Knights

• Accorder Paladin is a cheap, high powered Battle Crier
• Adeline, Resplendent Cathar gets stronger with every creature and also creates tokens
• Ayara's Oathsworn can tutor for something upon reaching four +1/+1 counters
• Belle of the Brawl grants Battle Cry for Knights
• Foulmire Knight can use its Adventure at the end of an enemy turn and then come back as a cheap, deadly foe
• Hero of Bladehold brings more Battle Cry and helpful tokens
• Knight of Grace and Knight of Malice are two sides of the same "3/2 First Strike for 2 mana" coin
• Knight of the White Orchid is an efficient knight that can fetch any Plains card, like Raffine's Tower
• Midnight Reaper recycles dying knights
• Order of Midnight uses his Adventure for reanimation and then is a decent flying attacker
• Smitten Swordmaster uses Adventure for a nice chunk of Life drain, then returns has a cheap Lifelinker
• Venerable Knight bestows a counter upon death
• Wintermoor Commander is a great blocker and can provide more protection to other knights

Supportive Knights

• Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir is a great creature (4/3 Flying First Strike for 4 is no joke) that serves as a draw and reanimation engine
• Battle Angels of Tyr usually delivers its 3 combat bonuses every attack thanks to Myriad
• Dauntless Bodyguard protects a key knight
• Exsanguinator Cavalry rewards agressiveness with power and Blood tokens
• Haakon, Stromgald Scourge is the most important knight after Sidar. We want to have him with us every game to ensure reckless attacks without much fear of losing our knights
• Herald of Hoofbeats grants Horsemanship, one of the few forms of mass unblockability
• Kinsbaile Cavalier grants Double Strike, a very fearsome ability
• Knight Exemplar is a very valuable Lord that gives Indestructible on top of the usual +1/+1 buff
• Marshal of Zhalfir is another Lord that's cheap and can tap a creature if necessary
• Metallic Mimic is a "knight" that makes other knights enter the field beefed up
• Roaming Throne doubles the trigger on my tribal abilities. Very nice with Sidar
• Silverblade Paladin wants to Soulbond with Sidar, making him more fearsome and able to reanimate two creatures per combat
• Skyhunter Strike Force strengthens my knights when fightning on multiple fronts
• Vodalian Wave-Knight is another VIP creature, since this deck has plenty of draw and so plenty of counters
• Worthy Knight creates disposable tokens whenever I play a Knight

Drawing Effects

• Bident of Thassa gives even more incentives to keep an agressive playstyle
• Chivalric Alliance further enchances drawing when attacking and can create tokens
• Kindred Discovery fits greatly whenever there's the color Blue and tribal creatures together
• Minas Tirith is a land that can draw an extra card after the attacking phase
• Mystic Remora punishes opposing non-creature plays, although at an increasing price for it
• Rhystic Study makes every enemy spell required to pay a toll
• Teferi's Ageless Insight doubles down on draws beyond my first
• Tocasia's Welcome only triggers once per turn, but will usually give an extra card every turn
• Trouble in Pairs leeches upon opponent's boldness for extra cards
• Vanquisher's Banner is a tribal draw engine with a decent power-up
• Battle Angels of Tyr, Midnight Reaper, Black Market Connections, Exsanguinator Cavalry and Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir also have drawing effects, but I've placed them in other categories

Ramp

• Pretty standard ramp spells in Arcane Signet, Fellwar Stone and Sol Ring
• Smothering Tithe punishes opposing draws with treasure tokens
• Talisman of Dominance, Talisman of Hierarchy and Talisman of Progress are my colors' mana rocks
• Urza's Incubator is another great spell to ramp up on tribal decks

Interaction Effects

• Anguished Unmaking, Vanishing Verse, Vindicate and Void Rend get rid of threatning permanents
• Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares and Tragic Slip are here for creature removal
• Cyclonic Rift, Damn and Supreme Verdict are my board wipes
• Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire can be Channeled for 4 damage on a creature in combat
• Werefox Bodyguard also provides removal, but is placed on a different category

Utility and Tutors

• Akroma's Will and Flawless Maneuver are mass protection spells
• Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots protect Sidar, Haakon or another key knight
• Steel of the Godhead is a special buff for Sidar, so he can connect better, harder, and give some life back
• Shadowspear ensures a big knight won't be chump blocked and will help mitigate damage taken
• Black Market Connections provides more ramp, more cards and/or more "knights"
• Eiganjo Castle can be the difference between losing or keeping Sidar or Haakon
• Vault of the Archangel can be slightly expensive to use, but the extra attacking pressure is usually worth it
• The iconic tutor cards Demonic Tutor, Enlightened Tutor and Vampiric Tutor fetch for what I need most
• Buried Alive tutors and sets up 3 Knights for reanimation. They will usually be Haakon, Stromgald Scourge, Knight Exemplar and Kinsbaile Cavalier, but can be anything else that is useful
• Entomb is especially nice to tutor Haakon, Stromgald Scourge, or can set up another knight for reanimation
