Hi guys ! This is my U/W/R Taking Turns Deck V1.0. Some feedback and suggestions is needed to improve the deck so please if you make some playtest gimme a feedback. Thank you in advance. :)

This list is inspired by the recent MTG Gold Fish Stream : UW Taking Turns and Ross Merriam SCG decklist

The Goal is ... taking extra turns, draw and kill with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn put on the board with Nahiri, the Harbinger

Jace, the Mind Sculptor is here for the Brainstorm effect to rearrange your hand when you have Temporal Mastery in hand or other Extra turn spells, the -12 effect is a finisher if Nahiri, the Harbinger is down with no other kill option.

The side plan is much aggro and battlefield control ... with Thing in the Ice  , Terminus, Engineered Explosives, Timely Reinforcements. If one of them want to counter with a Pithing Needle, use Wear // Tear

Hope you will enjoy my Patriot Version :)

Cards interraction

  • Ancestral Vision + As Foretold : Draw 3 for
  • As Foretold + All spells: Play Spell for (if you have enough time counter on it)
  • Jace, the Mind Sculptor + Time Warp : Jace put the spell on top of the deck to cast it for the Miracle cost next turn
  • Jace, the Mind Sculptor: No words can be enough to explain how he's huge in everything.
  • As Foretold + Emrakul, the Aeons Torn + Jace, the Mind Sculptor : Need As Foretold with 15 Time counter, play Emrakul with As Foretold, pass turn, play extra turn, attack with Emrakul, bounce it with Jace and re play it, pass turn, play extra turn, bounce it, etc...
  • Emrakul, the Aeons Torn + Nahiri, the Harbinger : Basic kill combo, 15 damages, annihilator
  • Emrakul, the Aeons Torn: Counter mill death, shuffle extra turn spell.
  • Snapcaster Mage + Time Warp or Telling Time / Serum Visions: Can i really explain the usefulness of this Wizard ^^" ?
  • Terminus: usefull against aggro deck, can be cast during opponent turn with miracle

    Updates Add

    Hii everyone :)

Back from event and new matchup review.

    Result: 2-1

1st Round: Restore Balance (Classic Version) (Only one match)

Well i didnt' expectet to win in this matchup but ... it was much easier than i expected. On Turn 3 opponent cast Violent Outburst, cascade Restore Balance 0 land but ... (yes their is a but) i put a As Foretold last turn. Next, opponent tried to get aggro with Lingering Souls but i drew Living End, finally he put Greater Gargadon down me to 1 but Nahiri exiled it on next turn. Finaly on my Turn 15 (Yes Turn 15 ...) i played Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Jace, the Mind Sculptor and discovered a new end game combo who made opponent concede:

  • As Foretold + Emrakul, the Aeons Torn + Jace, the Mind Sculptor
  • Put Emrakul with As Foretold, pass turn, play extra turn, attack with Emrakul, bounce it with Jace and re play it, pass turn, play extra turn etc...

Match 2 : Mono Blue Faeries

Aggro is not the best matchup for the main list, 1st match was fast,

On 2nd match i added Thing in the Ice  Flip, Timely Reinforcements, Terminus. That was effective until opponent cast Pithing Needle and name Nahiri. Can't back from it cause i don't sided artos hate. LOST

    Match 3: Mono Blue Merfolks

That was my Aggro night ...sound like last round, 1st was fast.

2nd i sided same has Faeris and ... God damned ! that was effective !!

Turn 1 Ancestral Vision, Turn 2 Thing in the Ice  Flip, Turn 4 cast spell until 1 ice counter, opponent end turn Opt Flip Thing and bounce Merfolks, Turn 5 attack, Time Warp, Extra Turn 5, Temporal Mastery and 2nd extra Turn 5 kill opponent. On match 3 was the same.

Well, new matchup and confirmation the list are stable enough to stay the definitive list. But i'm not sure to keep Damping Sphere in sideboard, i admit 'm afraid to play it cause the double-edged effect it will have on my plays.

    Any suggestion ?

See you in 2 weeks :)
