Concept

When the precon Draconic Domination came out in 2017 I knew I needed it. I love dragons and what better way to start my path down edh lane than with dragons. I used the precon as a starting point and slowly began upgrading the deck over time to where it is now.

Commander

I used The Ur-Dragon for around 4 years, but switched to Tiamat when AFR released. Don't get me wrong, The Ur-Dragon is a great general, but after a couple of games using Tiamat, you can't ignore the value. Being able to tutor out a game winning combo of dragons consistently is incredibly powerful.

Speed

The only thing better than big dragons, is attacking with big dragons right away:

• Rhythm of the Wild, Dragonlord Kolaghan, Dragon Tempest, Lightning Greaves, or Temur Ascendancy.

Ramp and Rocks

Big spells require lots of mana:

• Ramp - Kodama's Reach, Rampant Growth, Farseek, Cultivate, Ancient Copper Dragon, and Old Gnawbone
• Rocks - Fellwar Stone, Dragon's Hoard, Arcane Signet, Chromatic Lantern, and Sol Ring

Removal

In case of emergency break glass:

• Removal - Swords to Plowshares, Deflecting Swat, Mana Drain, Swan Song, Fierce Guardianship, Song of the Dryads, Deadly Rollick, and Beast Within
• Wipes - Cyclonic Rift, Crux of Fate, and Farewell

Draw

Keep the cards flowing:

• The Ur-Dragon, Garruk's Uprising, Dragon's Hoard, Ancient Silver Dragon, Elemental Bond, Kindred Discovery, Temur Ascendancy, Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Phyrexian Arena, Esper Sentinel, and Sarkhan Unbroken

Win Cons

Just about any dragon can win the game. Though, these cards in particular are extremely deadly if not dealt with.

• The Ur-Dragon - Will win the game if not dealt with
• Atarka, World Render and Sylvia Brightspear - Double Strike
• Tiamat - Tutor for a game ending combo of dragons
• Ancient Gold Dragon, Beledros Witherbloom, and Utvara Hellkite - Tokens
