Tibalt's Playground

U/R Delver build featuring Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded and other Avacyn Restored cards.

Card Choices:

Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded: Seems like card disadvantage, but he really isn't. Although random discard can be hindering, I often find it that anything I toss into the grave is almost equally as useful as it is in my hand. He creates mild threat which eventually becomes a huge threat to aggro or even late game control decks.

Desolate Lighthouse: I love this card. I'd add more if it produced red or blue mana. It provides a nice EoT outlet for mana to draw and filter through your deck.

Desperate Ravings: Ravings are fuel for the fire. It's a less controlled Faithless Looting, but can be EoT and doesn't lose out on cards. Losing a single card "usually" doesn't cause a lost. Most of the time it's only a small setback.

Chandra's Phoenix: Very cheap and versatile beater. The RR is sometimes obnoxious, but it's easy enough to work around. Recursion with Tibalt, the Fiend-Flooded, Galvanic Blast, Slagstorm, or Bonfire of the Damned is a nice touch.

Delver of Secrets: He's a beater. In blue. For U.

Grim Lavamancer: Allows me to get a lot of value out of anything in my graveyard, especially random discards of land or creatures.

Bonfire of the Damned: One sided Slagstorm. HOT DAMN.

Ponder: Sets up Delver of Secrets nicely and of course is just amazing.

Mountain: 0 cost and taps for a U? It's a standard Mox Ruby!

Island: 0 cost and taps for a U? It's a standard Mox Sapphire!

Sulfur Falls: 0 cost cross breed of Mox Sapphire and Mox Ruby... HOT DAMN.
